My work is primarily inspired by natural forms, creating artworks from fallen leaves, deciduous trees and wild flora usually discovered while out walking or sometimes quite accidentally during the course of the day; I enjoy exploring these themes with a very experimental approach using digital photography with a variety of mediums, such as ink or incorporating elements of printmaking processes & then with the use of Photoshop these explorations are combined into photocollages that can sometimes result in removing the drawing, photograph or object from its original state. I work intuitively so I try to avoid having a finished outcome in mind; preferring to let the process develop & dictate what happens.

Last year’s body of work examined the intricate forms of the Sunflower and the varying stages of flora going through its natural life cycle. This exploration of nature has developed into a new series of work which highlights the often overlooked & underappreciated aspects of the natural world around us
